WSRA Rider Of The Month Draw Live On BSN

FORTY-SEVEN National League riders are in with a chance of one-to-one coaching from former Oxford Cheetahs’ skipper Scott Nicholls.

The winner of the World Speedway Riders’ Association’s new NDL Rider of the Month initiative will be drawn and announced during the British Speedway Network’s live coverage of Oxford v Redcar in the Cab Direct Championship on August 6.

The prize for the first award is three sessions of one-to-one tuition at the Try Speedway Training Academy with tutors Nicholls, a seven-times British Champion who made 82 Speedway Grand Prix appearances, and former Great Britain World Team Cup finalist Paul Hurry.

The first of four monthly awards is open to ALL NDL riders, but in subsequent months ONLY those who are members of the WSRA will be entered.

Each month’s prize will be to a value of at least £250.

The riders whose names will be in the draw are: Nathan Ablitt, Max Broadhurst, Billy Budd, Arran Butcher, William Cairns, Jacob Clouting, Connor Coles, Jamie Etherington, Harry Fletcher, Vinnie Foord, James Halder, Luke Harris, Lee Harrison, Luke Harrison, Freddy Hodder, Ryan Ingram, Max James, Elliot Kelly, Connor King, Jack Kingston, Jordy Loftus, Kyran Lyden, Matt Marson, Sam McGurk, Eli Meadows, Mark Parker, Max Perry, Danny Phillips, Ace Pijper, Stene Pijper, Ben Rathbone, Darryl Ritchings, Harrison Rogers, Cooper Rushen, Jody Scott, Jack Shimelt, Mickie Simpson, Charlie Southwick, Tom Spencer, Sonny Springer, Senna Summers, Ben Trigger, Ashton Vale, Kai Ward, Mason Watson, Dayle Wood and Sam Woods.

The list includes every rider who has raced in the WSRA National League this season, including a couple of riders who have indicated that they may have retired.

If one of those riders wins the prize, they will have to indicate that they are prepared to race again and take up their three sessions at the Try Speedway Academy otherwise the opportunity will be forfeited and added to future draws.
