UPDATE: DAN GILKES

Oxford Speedway are gutted to confirm that Dan Gilkes will not return to the track for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Dan suffered a knee ligament injury during our meeting at Poole on 7 May. Despite working hard on his recovery, the decision has been made to focus fully on getting him back to 100% fitness for next season.

Dan has been absolutely brilliant for the SD Timmo Car Sales Oxford Cheetahs, powered by County Plumbing Supplies, both on and off the bike, and we’re all behind him as he continues his recovery.

Gilkes said: “I’m really disappointed not to be back this year, but it’s the right call. I’ve loved being part of the Oxford setup – it’s a great club with great people. I’ll be doing everything I can to come back stronger.”

We can’t wait to see Dan back doing what he does best in 2026.
