Nicholls and guest Harris star in Monarch Cheetahs’ entertaining win over Redcar

A blockbuster night of racing at Oxford Stadium concluded with the Monarch Cheetahs confirming a tense 47-43 victory over Redcar Bears on Wednesday night.

Club captain Scott Nicholls starred on the night, dropping just two points, while guest Chris Harris weighed in with 11 points from four rides before hitting the deck in a dramatic heat 15.

Jack Thomas registered a promising eight points by finishing second in all four of his programmed rides while reserve Dillon Ruml was the Monarch Cheetahs’ true team player with a 4+3 haul.

Kyle Newman and Cameron Heeps returned with paid five each respectively, while guest reserve Nathan Stoneman helped the hosts’ cause with three valuable points.

The Monarch Cheetahs return to Championship action on Friday night away to Scunthorpe.
