Pirates On Hold

The management of Oxford Speedway have decided to postpone this week’s home meeting against the Poole Pirates, scheduled for Wednesday 01 July 2026.

Following England topping their group in Football World Cup over the weekend, they will play their first knockout match on Wednesday. Although they have a 5pm kick off, with the potential of extra time and, of course, the dreaded penalties it is very possible that the match will continue after tapes up would be due at the stadium. As a patriotic club, the management know that many fans, riders and volunteers will want to support their country in the competition, which is why they have made this decision, they thank the Poole promotion for their cooperation and agreement with this decision.

Refunds will be automatically issued and a new date will be announced as soon as possible.

This means that the next home fixture will be on Wednesday 08 July 2026 against the Plymouth Gladiators.
