Cheetahs v Redcar postponed

THE big cup clash between the SD Timmo Sales Oxford Cheetahs powered by County Plumbing Supplies and Redcar Bears scheduled for tonight (Wednesday) has been postponed.

The track at the BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium has absorbed significant rainfall recently, including heavy rain this morning, and further rain is forecast both this afternoon and evening.

The leg up at Redcar of the MAXiCab Knockout Cup semi-final is due to take place on Friday, September 26. A new date for the Oxford leg will be confirmed in due course.

After 29 meetings between March and August without a single rain-off at Cowley, the weather has accounted for meetings on successive weeks at the beginning of September.

The next meeting at the BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium sees Cheetahs entertain arch-rivals Poole Pirates in the second leg of the BSN Series semi-final next Wednesday (September 17) at 7.30pm. Cheetahs need to overturn a 26-point deficit from the first leg. Tickets will be on sale in due course on the Oxford Speedway website at https://oxfordspeedway.club/tickets/
