Max Broadhurst ruled out for remainder of 2025 season

Oxford Speedway can confirm that Max Broadhurst will unfortunately miss the rest of the 2025 campaign following injuries sustained while guesting for Mildenhall at the Isle of Wight on Tuesday evening.

The 20-year-old, who has been an integral part of the Real Mini Company Oxford Chargers, powered by AW Mobbs, suffered multiple fractures to his hand after a heavy crash. He spent 18 hours in hospital before being discharged and faces a lengthy recovery period.

Max has made huge strides in his development this season and was beginning to find some impressive form in Chargers’ colours. His positive attitude, commitment, and growing contribution on track have made him a valued member of the team.

A disappointed Broadhurst explained in his own update that the decision had been taken not to rush his recovery and instead focus on returning fully fit for 2026.

Team manager Peter Schroeck said
“It’s a great shame for Max as he’s such a good lad and has worked so hard this season. His progress over the last few weeks has been phenomenal, and it was clear to everyone how much potential he has.

“Even though his season has been cut short, I’m certain he’ll remain a big part of Oxford Speedway’s future.“

All at Oxford Speedway send our very best wishes to Max and his family.
