Spires Make Final Birmingham Visit

The Bet Goodwin Oxford Spires make the short trip to Birmingham on Monday night, for the final time.

The Birmingham Brummies will be closing at the end of this season and therefore this will be the final time an Oxford side will be visiting the Perry Barr venue. It has been a happy hunting ground for both the Spires and the Cheetahs, with Oxford boasting an unbeaten record at the midland’s venue.

Team Manager Peter Schroeck remains positive about the Spires chances
“We have a good record up there and we will go and do our best as we always do.”

Team selection remains a headache for the Oxford boss, with three riders remaining on the sidelines. Zach Cook will cover for Erik Riss and Kye Thomson comes in for Craig Cook. Peter Kildemand also remains on the sidelines, and Jason Edwards steps in.

The SD Timmo Car Sales Oxford Cheetahs powered by County Plumbing Supplies will return to action at Sandy Lane on Wednesday evening against the Plymouth Gladiators. Tickers are available from www.oxfordspeedway.club/tickets
