Cheetahs Enter the Arena
The SD Timmo Car Sales Oxford Cheetahs powered by County Plumbing Supplies, travel to the Plymouth Arena tonight (Saturday) when they take on the Gladiators, tapes up at 7pm.
Oxford claimed the win on Wednesday night at Sandy Lane, pushing them back into fourth place, and really need to pick up all three points on offer tonight so that they can consolidate their position. The table is incredibly close with just six league points covering teams from second to eighth.
The Cheetahs remain unbeaten since their trip to Scunthorpe in June and were victorious on their last visit to Plymouth in the BSN Series.
Manager Peter Schroeck has been busy again with Jonas Knudsen, Mitch McDiarmid and Jordan Jenkins all missing, although Francis Gusts is back to join Luke Killeen at reserve.
Rider Replacement will be used to cover Jordan Jenkins which will allow everyone other than Sam Masters to take a ride. Ex-Cheetah Paul Starke will line up at number two in place of Jonas Knudsen, while Aussie Zaine Kennedy will cover for Mitch McDiarmid.
Plymouth are not without their own issues, missing Nicolai Klindt and Arran Butcher from their usual septet.
Attention will quickly return to Sandy Lane as the Chargers will line-up against the Belle Vue Colts at 3pm on Sunday.
Teams:
Plymouth, Scott Nicholls, Tobias Thomsen, Lasse Fredriksen, Joe Thompson, Ben Barker, Alfie Bowtell, Tom Spencer
Oxford: Sam Masters, Paul Starke, Jordan Jenkins R/R, Zaine Kennedy, Cameron Heeps, Francis Gusts, Luke Killeen, Darryl Ritchings (No 8)
