Two more added, as Bonanza line-up taking shape

2021 BRITISH CHAMPION Adam Ellis and Polish star Tobiasz Musielak have been added to the Ben Fund Bonanza individual meeting at Oxford Stadium on Sunday, March 23 (6pm) – the season opener at Cowley.

Half the 16-man field has now been announced, including Charles Wright and Erik Riss of the BetGoodwin Oxford Spires and Sam Masters of the SD Timmo Car Sales Oxford Cheetahs powered by County Plumbing Supplies.

Musielak scored 15+1 for King’s Lynn at Oxford last season, and is the No 1 for Birmingham Brummies this season.

His manager Maciek revealed: “We will race in this meeting and help raise the money. We will bring his King’s Lynn kevlars and they will go on auction. That’s a little something from us to support the meeting and the people behind it.”

Ellis was in the USA last weekend and scored a 11+1 paid maximum in Great Britain’s 55-35 test match victory over the United States.

Anyone wishing to contribute sponsorship support for the Bonanza should contact Stephanie Babb on [email protected]. Available sponsorships and the benefits they give the sponsor are displayed on the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund Facebook page. They range from £40 for a rider mascot to £400 for sponsorship of the meeting semi-final.

Oxford is hosting the 15th staging of the Bonanza, which raises money for both long-term and short-term injured riders via the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund. The BetGoodwin Oxford Spires are then in action at home the following Thursday (March 27), when they host King’s Lynn in the Premiership Knockout Cup.
