OXFORD SPEEDWAY TREBLE CONTINUES INTO 2025
Oxford Speedway Promoter Jamie Courtney has confirmed that Oxford Speedway will once again run three teams in 2025.
Since their return to the sport in 2022, the Monarch Oxford Cheetahs have competed in the Cab Direct Championship and the Real Mini Company Oxford Chargers powered by SD Timmo Car Sales have competed in the WSRA National Development League.
Oxford took the bold step of also entering a team into the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership for the 2024 Season and the OXS Oxford Spires were born.
Oxford were the first club in the history of the sport to do this and the support from the Oxfordshire public has paid dividends, with confirmation so early on the plans for next season.
Speaking after the Monarch Oxford Cheetahs reached their first Cab Direct Championship Grand Final, Promoter Jamie Courtney was pleased to confirm the Clubs’ position
“While there’s been one or two bumps along the way I feel that it has been well received with the public embracing the opportunity to see some of the best riders in the world in the Premiership, the next batch of world beaters in the Championship and some exciting raw talent in their formative years via the National League.
“We’re still very much blazing our own trail here – Leicester and Belle Vue are the nearest to following our lead – but there was enough positive response in 2024 to make it worth trying again in 2025.” Courtney concluded.
The next action at Oxford Stadium is this Wednesday when the Cab Direct Championship Grand Final against the Poole Pirates, tickets are on sale at www.oxfordspeedway.club/tickets
