AW Mobbs back onboard as premium partner of Oxford Speedway

Oxford Speedway pit gate sponsor AW Mobbs is back onboard as a premium partner of the club ahead of its historic 2024 campaign which will see three teams take to the track.

Based in Wheatley, the family-run firm serves Oxfordshire and the home counties with building supplies and this year celebrates 25 years of providing its core services after starting as a traditional coal merchant.

The company employs 15 members of staff and prides itself on a quick and efficient service to satisfy customer requirements.

As a premium sponsor of the club, AW Mobbs will again be the club’s pit gate partner and sponsor an air fence banner and a heat with advertising in the race night programme.

As a bonus, AW Mobbs will run exclusive promotions for Oxford Speedway supporters with discounts planned for its building, timber, landscaping, garden, heating and hardware services.

Darren Moss, Yard Manager and Head of Commercial at AW Mobbs, said: “Since it was confirmed speedway would be returning to Oxford, we knew we had to get behind the club’s regeneration.

“We adore the club and the story behind its rise from the ashes. To now have teams running in the Premiership, Championship and National League is great news locally and we’re pleased to be back on board.

“It’s a huge logistical operation supplying building materials across our network in Oxfordshire and the county’s surrounds. The hard working nature of our team has been key to AW Mobbs’ success – and no doubt this applies to the team behind Oxford Speedway too.

“We look forward to being back trackside in March!”

Jamie Courtney, Oxford Speedway Promoter, added: “We’re really pleased to have AW Mobbs back onboard for 2024.

“Their backing of the club should not be underestimated, and we thank Darren and his colleagues for being at the heart of Oxford Speedway’s regeneration.”
