Monarch Cheetahs slip to defeat away to clinical Plymouth
Three home heat advantages in the concluding three races meant the Monarch Oxford Cheetahs slipped to a 55-35 defeat away to Plymouth Gladiators on Tuesday evening.
The Monarch Cheetahs made a promising start to the evening and led 5-7 after two races following skipper Scott Nicholls’ opening race win. Despite a 5-1 courtesy of Dillon Ruml and Troy Batchelor in heat six, the Gladiators won 11 of the night’s 15 heats – ultimately denying Cheetahs any chance of securing a consolation bonus point.
Oxford return to action on Wednesday night at home to Redcar Bears. Tickets can be purchased by visiting our ticketing page here.
