PREVIEW: Spires visit league leaders

BETGOODWIN Oxford Spires face a tough trip to current ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Ipswich Witches at Foxhall Heath in Suffolk tonight (August 7) at 7.30pm.

Spires recently declared talented Swede Victor Palovaara as a new signing to replace Craig Cook, but he misses out due to illness and Spires call up Mitch McDiarmid from the Oxford Cheetahs to guest. In his previous outing at Premiership level, 17-year-old McDiarmid scored a highly creditable 6+2 for Spires.

In addition, Spires track Richard Lawson in place of Erik Riss, who is out with long-term illness, while Rohan Tungate has a shoulder injury and is covered by rider replacement.
