PREVIEW: Patched Up Cheetahs Head North

The SD Timmo Car Sales Oxford Cheetahs powered by County Plumbing Supplies will aim to maintain their one hundred percent Championship record when they travel north to take on the Redcar Bears on Friday evening, tapes up at 7.30pm.

The Cheetahs were already missing Jonas Knudsen on Danish Championship duty and were also forced to contend with injury fears after a very hard-fought win against Scunthorpe on Wednesday night.

First, Jordan Jenkins was forced to withdraw following Jake Allen going for a gap that did not exist and sending him into the fence, aggravating his back injury. This was then followed by an extremely nasty crash for Cameron Heeps who was sent hurtling at full speed into the air bag on turn three. It looked as though Heeps had been seriously injured before he managed to get to his feet and walk back to the pits.

Heeps spent a long night in hospital, but the good news is that amazingly, he had not broken any bones! He does feel very battered however and will take some time to rest before returning to the side.

There was further good news, with Jenkins declaring himself fit for Friday night, a welcome boost for the team as Jenkins rode for the Bears from 2020 until 2022.

Sam Hagon will guest for Knudsen while the impressive Danyon Hume will cover Cameron Heeps.
