Cheetahs Looking for BSN Series Progress
The SD Timmo Car Sales Oxford Cheetahs powered by County Plumbing Supplies will wrap up their BSN Series group meetings when they travel to Wimborne Rd this Wednesday 07 May, tapes up at 7.30pm.
The hotly anticipates clash was originally scheduled for Good Friday however it was postponed early as the weather gods had made the meeting impossible to run. The Cheetahs currently sit at the top of the Southern Group with six points, just one point ahead of the Pirates. Plymouth have completed their fixtures and are unable to qualify for the next round.
Oxford have two routes to qualification for the knockout stage, if they win at Poole then they qualify automatically as group winners, if they lose they will finish in second place on six points and are well placed to achieve best runner up qualification. It is a competition which has not been a happy hunting ground for the Cheetahs, who have never progressed past the group stage since their return to the sport in 2022.
Poole will run with an unchanged line-up however there are injury fears for Cameron Heeps who faces a late fitness test. If he is unable to line-up, rider replacement will operate in his place. Team Manager Peter Schroeck has jiggled the riding order to make best of this, with Heeps listed at number two and Jordan Jenkins filling the number five position.
Teams:
Poole: Richard Lawson, Tobias Thomsen, Anders Rowe, Zach Cook, Lewis Kerr, Paul Starke, Matt Marson
Oxford: Sam Masters, Cameron Heeps or R/R, Jonas Knudsen, Dan Gilkes, Jordan Jenkins, Mitch McDiarmid, Luke Killeen
