PREVIEW: Crunch Clash for Oxford Chargers

Focus moves to the Real Oxford Mini Chargers powered by SD Timmo Car Sales as they travel to Leicester in at top of the table WSRA National Development League meeting where something has to give. The action gets underway at the Piddock Motorcyles Arena on Sunday at 3pm.

Leicester and Oxford are both unbeaten in 2024, with the Leicester Lion Cubs holding top spot as they have an extra meeting to the Chargers. There are no play offs in the National League this year, whoever ends the year in number one spot will be declared the Champions.

Team Manager Pete Schroeck refused to put pressure on the young team

“We have to put our sensible head on, we built a team for progression, with riders who lack experience

“They are doing a great job, doubling their averages, and they are determined to have a good go at Leicester and see what they can do”

The new averages have kicked in and will see a change to the riding order, with Jody Scott moving to number one and Luke Killeen will ride at five. Jason Garrad will line up at number three and has moved to second in the averages. Sam Woods will line up as a guest for Alex Spooner at reserve.

Teams:

Leicester: Joe Thompson, Sonny Springer, Tom Spencer, Luke Crang, Max James, Arran Butcher, Vinnie Foord

Oxford: Jody Scott, Jacob Clouting, Connor Coles (guest), Ashton Vale, Luke Killeen, Senna Summers, Sam Woods
