RESULT: OXS Oxford Spires 46 – 44 Watling JCB Leicester Lions

Another cracking ROWE Motor Oil Premiership contest at Sandy Lane saw the Spires just hanging on to the win in another blistering last heat decider.

Oxford took the lead in heat one with a maximum from Rohan Tungate and Charles Wright, and they were not headed again all night.

Leicester were forced to use a tactical substitute in heat seven and were unable to get back any points with the Spires packing the places. The Lions refused to give up and reduced the deficit to just two points with three heats to go.

It was Super Pole Magic Janowski who ended up being the saviour (and rider) of the night with two amazing last gasp moves to secure the two league points for the home side.
