BSN SERIES: Last heat maximum earns Cheetahs the points in Plymouth tie

A Heat 15 maximum courtesy of Sam Masters and Scott Nicholls earned the Monarch Oxford Cheetahs a 46-44 win over Plymouth Gladiators in the BSN Series on Wednesday night.

Trailing by eight points with only three heats remaining, Cheetahs’ top pair registered 5-1s when it mattered most in heats 13 and 15 to start their home form in 2024 on a winning note.

The last heat win topped a faultless evening for Cheetahs number one Sam Masters, who raced to a 15-point maximum while Nicholls weighed in with an impressive 14+3 haul from six rides. Ashton Boughen also starred at reserve, returning with a match-winning 8+1.

Cheetahs are back in action next Friday, April 26, when travelling to Glasgow Tigers in the Knockout Cup.
