RESULT: Poole Pirates 57 (103) Monarch Cheetahs 33 (76)

The Monarch Oxford Cheetahs tasted defeat on the south coast on Good Friday to Poole Pirates, losing 57-33 in the away leg of the BSN Series.

Cheetahs won five of the evening’s 15 heats and managed two race advantages in heats six and 11 as Australian Sam Masters top scored for Peter Schroeck’s side with 15 points from six rides.

The result means Pirates remain top of the BSN Series Southern Group with five points from two fixtures while Cheetahs are yet to register a point. The Monarch Cheetahs’ BSN Series campaign resumes on Wednesday when Plymouth Gladiators visit Oxford Stadium.
