Spires Look To The Stars

The Bet Goodwin Oxford Spires kick off their 2025 Premiership season with a tough looking away meeting against the Kings Lynn Stars in their first ever Premiership Knockout Cup tie.

The Spires did not take part in last years Premiership Knockout Cup so the meeting sets a historic tone for the Spires who will need to be at their very best if they are to progress to the semi-finals.

The Stars have been built as a solid unit, with less than a point splitting the averages of reserve Chris Harris and number one Ben Cook.

Oxford Team Manager is aware that things will not be easy for the Spires
“The lads need to settle themselves quickly and put on a good display to give ourselves a chance progress in the Cup

“Any support from our travelling fans will be greatly appreciated” concluded Schroeck.

The new-look Spires include the returning to the UK Dane Peter Kildemand and Latvian newcomer Francis Gusts.

Kings Lynn will be the first visitors to Sandy Lane for the return fixture on Thursday 27 March 2025, tickets are on sale here.
