Sam Masters Returns as Interim Captain

Oxford Speedway are delighted to confirm that popular Aussie Sam Masters will be returning to the Oxford Cheetahs in the Cab Direct Championship for 2025.

A clearly delighted Sam Masters needed no persuasion to return
“I didn’t need to think about it, I love turning up at Sandy Lane and racing for the Cheetahs on a Wednesday” he enthused

He was equally as positive about the feel of the club
“Pete (Schroeck) and Jamie (Courtney) are so easy to deal with and we have a great relationship, this is a real family club

He also knows what a tall order stepping into the Captains role will be
“I hope I can be half the captain that Scott is and I hope his is back quickly as he’s one of the best team mates I have ever had – a massive part of the Cheetahs setup

Looking ahead his message to the Oxford fans is
“I can’t wait to see you all again in the New Year!”
