PREVIEW: Oxford On The Road Again

It is another busy weekend on the road for Oxford Speedway with both the Chargers and the Cheetahs in action.

The Real Mini Company Oxford Chargers powered by SD Timmo Car Sales travel to Belle Vue Manchester tonight (Friday) in WSRA National Development League action. The Monarch Oxford Cheetahs will then take on the Berwick Bandits twenty four hours later in the Cab Direct Championship.

For the Chargers, Jason Garrad has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a collar bone injury and his place will be taken by Max Perry as a guest. Alex Spooner has also aggravated his shoulder injury and so Team Manager Pete Schroeck has drafted in Jamie Etherington as a further guest
“I have been watching for quite a while, he has been riding 500cc British Youth and he is certainly looking good”

There is good news with Jody Scott and Ashton Vale back in the side following their recent spell on the sidelines.

The Monarch Oxford Cheetahs travel to Berwick with Jody Scott taking the number seven spot
“I think we have a strong one to six so there is no pressure on him … we normally do quite well at Berwick so I am quietly confident” Pete concluded.
