RESULT: OXS Oxford Spires 48 – 42 TRU7 Group Sheffield Tigers

It was another last heat decider in tonight’s televised ROWE Motor Oil Premiership as a depleted Sheffield side put up stern opposition against all the odds.

The Tigers took an early lead in heat one and it was not until heat five that the Spires levelled the scores. Five shared heats followed before Oxford took the lead for the first time in heat eleven.

A maximum heat win in the big heat thirteen allowed Chris Holder to take his sixth ride as a tacticla substitute in the penultimate race, and there was just two points between the teams going into the fifteenth.

The Tigers gated ahead in the final deciding heat however Rohan Tungate forced his way to the front and there was a true Captain’s performance from Chris Harris to join him for a final maximum heat win.

A full report, and a preview of the next Sandy Lane action will follow shortly.
