Jordan Jenkins receives late call-up for British Final
JORDAN JENKINS will ride in 2024 Attis Insurance Sports Division British Final at the National Speedway Stadium at Belle Vue, Manchester later today (Saturday, 7.30pm).
The 22-year-old Oxford Cheetah was promoted into the line-up after Rory Schlein suffered shoulder and rib injuries at Scunthorpe last night (Friday).
Jenkins joins three Oxford Spires in the line-up, including two former winners. Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris is a three-time champion (2007, 2009 and 2010), while Charles Wright won at the NSS in 2019. Lewis Kerr – who has recently returned from injury – completes the Oxford contingent.
The winner – or highest placed non-Grand Prix rider if Dan Bewley, Robert Lambert or Tai Woffinden win the meeting – will bag the wildcard spot for the British Grand Prix at Cardiff in August.
REVISED LINE-UP: 1 Drew Kemp, 2 Robert Lambert, 3 Chris Harris, 4 Simon Lambert, 5 Craig Cook, 6 Connor Mountain, 7 Adam Ellis, 8 Tai Woffinden, 9 Lewis Kerr, 10 Steve Worrall, 11 Dan Bewley, 12 Anders Rowe, 13 Jordan Jenkins, 14 Tom Brennan, 15 Charles Wright, 16 Kyle Howarth.
