RESULT: OXS Oxford Spires 46 – 44 Belle Vue APTI Aces
The OXS Oxford Spires defied the odds and won a hard fought ROWE Motor Oil Premiership thriller at Sandy Lane tonight (Thursday).
The Aces pulled ahead in the early stages, and made the most of the Rider Replacement rides for the injured Brady Kurtz. It looked as though the Aces were going to run away with it as they were eight points up after six heats.
Spires captain Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris was having none of it and played his part in three maximum heat wins for the Spires, including the vital heat fifteen where only maximum heat points would give Oxford the victory.
Harris was ably backed up by Rohan Tungate and Charles Wright in a match that will be remembered for a long time.
A full match report will be available shortly.
