Congratulations Glasgow, from Oxford Speedway!

Everyone at Oxford Speedway would like to congratulate Glasgow Tigers on their Cab Direct Championship Play-Off success against runners-up Poole Pirates on Wednesday evening.

Both teams that featured in this year’s Grand Final delivered extraordinary entertainment on the occasions they visited Oxford Stadium this season, and in turn attracted bumper crowds.

Tigers’ triumph in Dorset concludes the 2023 season and focus for the Monarch Cheetahs now turns to planning for a big 2024 campaign.

Promoter Jamie Courtney said: “On behalf of everyone at Oxford Speedway, we’d like to pass on our congratulations to Cameron Brown, his riders, the Glasgow promotion and their supporters for last night’s success.

“Tigers were worthy champions of the Championship Pairs last month, and the same applies for their league success last night. At the same time, commiserations to Poole who pushed every team hard this season.

“They say you’ve got to be beat the best to be the best, and Glasgow did just that.

“We’ve got one final fixture at Oxford Stadium this season with the WSRA Chargers powered by SD Timmo in Grand Final action against Leicester Lion Cubs. It’s a big occasion for the club, and we hope to see many supporters join us as possible to hopefully round off our 2023 campaign in style.”
