PLAY-OFF TICKETS GO LIVE! Monarch Cheetahs to begin play-off campaign at home on September 13

The Monarch Oxford Cheetahs will begin their 2023 Cab Direct Championship Play-Off campaign on home shale next week – and tickets are available to purchase now!

Peter Schroeck’s men will take to the Sandy Lane shale on Wednesday, September 13, with the club’s opponents to be confirmed over the weekend following the league’s cut-off date.

Who Cheetahs race is dependant on the outcome of tonight’s final regular season fixture against Glasgow Tigers.

Should Cheetahs defeat Glasgow, Peter Schroeck will have the choice of opponents in the Group Stage phase of this year’s play-offs. A loss would see Dorset rivals Poole Pirates have the choice of opponents.

It follows a restructure to the league’s play-off format which this year will see six qualifying teams split into two groups of three with each club racing their group opponents once at home and once away.

The winners of each group will then advance to the traditional two-legged Grand Final.

Team Manager Peter Schroeck said: “There has never been a more exciting time to be a Monarch Cheetahs fan.

“There’s every chance we can end the regular season top of the table by beating Glasgow tonight, and then we advance to the business end of the season with the play-offs which are never short of drama.

“It’s been an extraordinary campaign, but next Wednesday we’ll need every bit of support possible to help us get into that Grand Final. Tell your friends, bring your family and let’s pack Oxford Stadium out and show our opponents what speedway in this city means to us.”

Play-off tickets for the Monarch Cheetahs’ first home fixture on Wednesday, September 13, are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here.

Adults are priced £20 (£22 on the day) and ALL U16s accompanied by a paying adult can enter for free! Oxford Speedway would like to remind Oxford Speedway Pass holders that their pass is NOT valid for this fixture as it sits outside our list of fixtures confirmed at the start of the season.
