FIXTURE UPDATE! New dates confirmed for Plymouth and Scunthorpe

Friday night speedway will return to Oxford Stadium this month when the table topping Monarch Cheetahs host Plymouth Gladiators in the Cab Direct Championship.

The club has re-arranged its home Championship tie with the Devon outfit for Friday, August 25, to kick start a bumper Bank Holiday Weekend of activity at Sandy Lane with tapes-up at 7.30pm.

Club bosses have also confirmed Wednesday’s postponed fixture against Scunthorpe Scorpions will now take place on Tuesday, September 5, on the week of the league’s cut-off date.

Tickets for both fixtures will go live in the build-up to both events with adults priced £20 and all U16s accompanied by a paying adult eligible for free entry.

The Plymouth date has been set three days before Oxford Stadium opens its doors for FREE on Bank Holiday Monday for a packed night of greyhound racing which will celebrate the completion of the venue’s regeneration project.

Racegoers who book online via the Oxford Stadium website will also be entitled to a free drink on arrival with trainer Q&As, Spin the Wheel, an opportunity to meet the greyhounds and much more happening.

The first race on August 28 is at 6.17pm with doors opening at 4pm.
