SIGNING: JASON GARRAD STEPS IN FOR SIDELINED DUGARD

The WSRA Oxford Chargers powered by SD Timmo can confirm Jason Garrad has signed for the club for the remainder of the season.

Garrad joins the team to fill the gap of Kelsey Dugard, who has been sidelined after sustaining an unfortunate shoulder, neck and arm injury in June.

The previously unattached 36-year-old already represented the Chargers earlier this season in Kent before the meeting was abandoned. His debut will take place on Wednesday, July 26th, when the Kent Royals visit Oxford Stadium (7.30pm).

Garrad said: “I’m really pleased to have signed for the Oxford Chargers and am grateful for the opportunity to ride for my home team.

“I grew up watching the Cheetahs race at Sandy Lane so it has always been a dream to ride for Oxford.

“It’s exciting to join a team that is having so much success within the league right now. I can’t wait to get started and hopefully make a positive contribution to the rest of the season.”

Team Manager Peter Schroeck added: “We are pleased to have Jason on board for the rest of the season.

“It’s disappointing to have Kelsey out of action and we all wish him a speedy recovery. But Jason impressed us earlier this year as a guest rider so we think he will be a good addition to the team.”

Tickets for the WSRA Chargers powered by SD Timmo’s next meeting against the Kent Royals will go on sale soon. Adults are priced at £12 and ALL U16s go free!
