REPORT: Chargers slip to defeat in Manchester

The WSRA Oxford Chargers powered by SD Timmo slipped to their first defeat of the season on Friday evening away to Belle Vue Colts at the National Speedway Stadium.

Chargers were without Jordan Jenkins, who was ruled out of the meeting, and were without Luke Killeen after he was forced to withdraw from the meeting after crashing in heat one.

Henry Atkins enjoyed a strong night, scoring 14 points from six rides including race wins in heats one and 12.

Jacob Clouting and Jody Scott were among the race winners too, winning heats eight and 14 respectively.

Chargers return to action on Sunday afternoon away to Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the National League.
