Press and Practice – everything you need to know!
The Monarch Oxford Cheetahs and WSRA Oxford Chargers powered by SD Timmo return to Oxford Stadium on Wednesday for press and practice – and you’re all invited to attend!
New Cheetahs recruits Sam Masters and Lewis Kerr will join skipper Scott Nicholls, the returning Cameron Heeps plus Jordan Jenkins, Luke Killeen and Henry Atkins on track with all Oxford Chargers riders also in action.
The session will be FREE and open to the public from 6pm with riders available for photograph and autograph opportunities at the conclusion of the practice session. Oxford Speedway presenter Richard Palmer will be on the microphone through the night talking visitors through the action.
Supporters will also be able to purchase the club’s new range of Oxford Speedway merchandise including hats, jackets, scarfs and t-shirts while tickets for upcoming fixtures against Swindon Robins Select and Poole Pirates will remain available via the club’s ticketing hub here.
Limited parking is available onsite on a first come, first served basis, and the downstairs bar will open for supporters who wish to buy snacks or a drink.
When?
Oxford Speedway’s 2023 Press and Practice session begins at 6pm on Wednesday, March 22.
Where?
The Press and Practice Session will take place at Oxford Stadium, home of the Monarch Cheetahs and WSRA Chargers. Oxford Stadium is located on Sandy Lane in Cowley, OX4 6LJ.
Who?
Riders from the Monarch Cheetahs and WSRA Chargers will take to the track. They include former Grand Prix star Scott Nicholls, 2017 Australian Champion Sam Masters and 2022 Championship Pairs winner Lewis Kerr!
What?
This is the first official practice session for the Oxford Cheetahs and Oxford Chargers squads. Competitive racing gets underway a week later (March 29) when Swindon Robins Select visit Oxford Stadium in a pre-season challenge fixture.
Poole Pirates then visit on Wednesday, April 5, to begin the season proper with the launch of the BSN Series. Tickets for both fixtures can be purchased by clicking here.
