Keith Cook Construction Ltd onboard as premium partners of Oxford Speedway
Oxford Speedway has received a major boost weeks before the beginning of the new season by partnering with Kidlington-based construction experts Keith Cook Construction Ltd.
The family-owned business has become a premium partner of the Oxford Cheetahs and Oxford Chargers ahead of both clubs respective Championship and National League campaigns.
Founded in 1993, Keith Cook Construction specialises in foundations, hard landscaping, floor slabs, drainage and soakaways and is operational across Oxfordshire, its surrounds and west London.
They have been involved in multiple projects for schools, hospitals and house builds and are currently working on multiple projects across the county along with providing all year round maintenance at UKAEA Culham.
The team are regulars to Oxford Stadium having been captured by speedway’s extraordinary regeneration campaign in 2022 and will be at the heart of the club’s second season of its new era.
Two branded banners will be positioned on our safety fence panels and 12 VIP passes for a fixture of their choice have been distributed. Two Oxford Speedway Season Passes have also been handed out in return for their support.
John Cook, Construction Manager at Keith Cook Construction, is thrilled to be part of Oxford Speedway’s 2023 campaign.
“One of our colleagues is a huge speedway fan and idolised the likes of Hans Nielsen growing up,” said John. “We all went to a fixture together and that was it, we were hooked.
“Speedway is fast-paced, high drama, full throttle action. It’s a great night out for friends, family or colleagues.
“We’re a community-focused organisation and were keen to explore how we could offer our support this season. The team were quickly on the phone, and we’re really pleased to be onboard.
“The make-up of this year’s Oxford teams are really exciting and like everyone else we can’t wait to see the bikes back on track when the new season begins in March.”
John and his colleagues will be in attendance at the club’s 2023 Press and Practice session on Wednesday, March 22.
The day will take a new look this year with riders holding their annual team photo in the city centre before attending a dedicated sponsors event in the afternoon. A full practice session which will be open to the public then begins at 6.30pm.
Oxford Speedway promoter Jamie Courtney added: “It’s great to have Keith Cook Construction onboard for our 2023 campaign.
“Support from trusted local businesses means so much to the club and our riders. I know John has taken a shine to the sport in the last year, his story is a prime example of how we can inspire a new generation of speedway fans across Oxfordshire.
“We’d like to thank him and the family business for their support and look forward to partnering together for the rest of the season.”
